The Kentucky Bourbon Trail® is the official tour of the state's bourbon distilleries, spanning 46 member distilleries across Kentucky. We partnered with Lewis to design and build an interactive website that helps visitors plan their trip, browse distilleries, and map out a route along the trail. Each of the 46 distilleries manages its own listing through a secure login, so details stay current as their tours and offerings change.

    Brand Makeover

    Lewis created a beautiful new brand for The Kentucky Bourbon Trail®. Our role was to bring that vision to life online, translating their designs into an experience that felt elevated, intuitive, and accessible for every user.

    Scalable for 46 Distilleries

    Distillery information changes often. Rather than routing every update through one team, each distillery needed direct control to keep its own listing accurate.

    Branded Interactive Map

    The trail covers 46 distilleries, each with its own location, tours, amenities, and experiences. Visitors needed a way to sort through all of it and build an itinerary that fit how they wanted to travel.

Solution

// Pixel perfection, always

We started with several discovery sessions alongside Lewis, then rebuilt the Kentucky Bourbon Trail® site from the ground up. Visitors can search and filter distilleries by region, amenities, and experiences, then plot a route on an interactive map that fits their trip. Each of the 46 distilleries gets its own secure login to update its own details, so listings stay current without a central team managing every change.

We also built the landing page for the Worldwide Toast to Kentucky Bourbon, a 24-hour livestream event that drew participants from 32 countries across six continents to mark the 25th Anniversary of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail®. The page hosted event information and served as the access point for the livestream.
